On a TEE - Alpendub Plays The Entire Classic Kraftwerk Album!

TEE - the original inspiration
Alpendub has been putting together a special project for the past 6 months – a complete 1:1 reworking of Kraftwerk’s classic 1977 album “Trans-Europe Express“. Work is currently underway on the English-language variant, but plans are also in place for a German-language variant, just like Kraftwerk originally did.

Lead vocalist for the English album will be Ian Beaty from lovely mountainous (and very alpendubbish) Vancouver, Canada. Other featured guests include the Captain Zorx Male Choir from Berlin, Germany, Tyson Naylor on Blackcomb Mountain accordion, Niko Schabel on Alpbach clarinet, Daniel Lauer on Germaican guitar, Ian Beaty on Maple Ridge bass and the man cable on Winterpeg drums and hackbrett.

We’ve taken care to redo the tracks with the exact track lengths and more or less the same arrangements. The difference is in the instrumentation and groove. In other words, no more synths but lots of alpine dubby sounds.

Here’s the track listing:

  1. Europe Endless
  2. Hall Of Mirrors
  3. Showroom Dummies
  4. Trans-Europe Express
  5. Metal On Metal
  6. Franz Schubert
  7. Endless Endless

Stay tuned for more details!

Over’n'out,
the man cable
